Smoking volcano without dryice or an "over the top" fog machine?

Making a volcano for a work luau and I want to make it smoke without dry ice. I don't want it to erupt, or cover the table, just come out of the top. Also would prefer not to "refresh" it because there will be a performance and I wouldn't want to interupt. Help!
